This Privacy Policy explains how Denis Anzora, the operator of Omi ("Omi," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Omi fitness application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Omi helps users record workouts, cardio sessions, nutrition, and fitness progress. Omi is a fitness tracking tool, not a healthcare provider, and does not provide medical advice.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Omi, and limited information needed to operate the Services.

  • Account information: your Apple Sign-In identifier, Omi user ID, account identifiers, and email address if Apple or another account service provides it. Apple may provide a private relay email instead of your personal email.
  • Strength and fitness information: exercises, workouts, routines, sets, repetitions, weights, personal records, workout history, goals, and progress.
  • Cardio information: activity type, duration, distance, calories, speed, incline, intensity, and route information for outdoor GPS activities.
  • Nutrition and body information: body weight, macro and calorie goals, food logs, meal details, and other fitness or nutrition information you choose to enter.
  • Food scan content: food photos and any optional text or details you submit for analysis, plus estimated foods, calories, and macros generated from the scan.
  • Subscription information: product, transaction, purchase, and entitlement status supplied through Apple services. Omi does not receive your full payment-card number.
  • Support communications: messages and other information you provide when requesting help, exercising privacy rights, or sending feedback.

Omi does not currently use a separate advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK. Service providers may process limited technical request information, such as timestamps, network addresses, and error details, as needed to securely deliver their infrastructure.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and maintain your account and authenticate sign-ins.
  • Record, calculate, display, and synchronize workouts, cardio, nutrition, goals, and progress across signed-in devices.
  • Analyze food scans and return estimated nutrition information.
  • Provide subscription features and verify access entitlements.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, secure, maintain, and improve Omi.
  • Respond to support, account, and privacy requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect users, Omi, and others from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

With your permission, Omi may schedule local notifications on your device for reminders and app-related updates. You can manage these notifications in Omi or your device settings.

4. AI Food Scanning

When you use the AI food scanner, the photo and any optional text or details you supply are transmitted to Omi's backend and to AI processing service providers acting on our behalf. They process that content to identify possible foods and estimate calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and other nutrition information.

AI-generated food and macro results are estimates. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. They are provided for general fitness tracking and are not medical or nutritional advice. Do not rely on them to diagnose, treat, or manage a health condition or allergy. Review and correct an estimate before adding it to your food log.

Food scan content is used to provide the scan and maintain your food history. Our providers may process it only as needed to perform services for Omi, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

5. Location Information

Omi collects precise location only when you grant location permission and use an outdoor GPS cardio feature. Location points are used to measure and display information such as your route, distance, speed, and workout progress, and to synchronize that workout with your account.

You can deny or withdraw location permission in your device settings. If you do, outdoor route recording and related measurements may not work, but you can continue using Omi features that do not require location.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are offered through Apple's App Store and StoreKit services. Apple processes your payment method and billing information under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Omi receives limited transaction and entitlement information needed to confirm whether subscription features should be available, but does not directly receive your full payment-card details.

Apple may process purchase, distribution, crash, and diagnostic information when you download or purchase Omi through Apple services, subject to Apple's own privacy terms. This does not mean Omi receives all information held by Apple.

7. Service Providers

We use service providers to operate Omi. They may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide their services, comply with law, and protect their systems.

  • Supabase provides authentication, database, storage, and synchronization infrastructure.
  • Vercel provides website hosting and cloud/API infrastructure.
  • AI processing service providers analyze food photos and related text submitted through the food scanner.
  • Apple provides Sign in with Apple, App Store distribution, StoreKit subscriptions, and related platform services.

These providers operate under their own privacy terms in addition to obligations they have when processing information for Omi.

8. Data Sharing

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • To service providers that operate features and infrastructure on our behalf.
  • When you direct us to share information or otherwise provide your consent.
  • To comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests.
  • To investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or threats to rights, property, or safety.
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and synchronize your account, preserve the history and settings you choose to maintain, process subscriptions, resolve support issues, secure the Services, and meet legal obligations.

Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. Some information may remain temporarily in protected backups or be retained when required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or security purposes.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. We also limit access to providers and systems that need information to operate the Services.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for maintaining control of your device and Apple account.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.

  • Edit fitness, nutrition, goals, and account information through available app controls.
  • Manage location, camera, photo-library, and notification permissions in device settings.
  • Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple account settings.
  • Use the account controls in Omi to initiate deletion of your account and associated data.

12. Account and Data Deletion

You can initiate permanent deletion of your Omi account and associated data in the app under Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Omi asks you to confirm the request and verify your Apple account before deletion. Deleting the app from your device does not by itself delete your account or synchronized information.

Successful account deletion removes or de-identifies the personal data associated with your account, including account details, workouts, cardio activities and routes, nutrition and body information, food scans, goals, settings, and history. Omi also revokes its Sign in with Apple authorization. We may retain limited transaction or audit records required for legal, accounting, security, support, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes and delete them when they are no longer required. Information in protected backups is removed through normal backup lifecycle processes. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple.

13. Children's Privacy

Omi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided personal information to Omi, we will investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

14. International Users

Omi is operated from the United States and is primarily intended for U.S. users, but people may access the Services elsewhere. If you use Omi outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.

Where required, we take steps intended to provide appropriate protection for international transfers and honor applicable local privacy rights.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Omi, our data practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this URL and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
